Below are just a few of the issues
that we will face when we return to
Augusta in January. Please take a
moment to contact me and let me
know what you think about these or
any other issues.
- The governor has proposed the establishment
of a Northeast Energy
Corridor that would traverse the
state from Atlantic Canada. Concern
regarding potential impact
on renewable energy projects, and
Canada’s long-standing opposition
to efforts to establish LNG terminals
in Washington County, have
delayed the project. What are your
thoughts regarding this and other
energy issues?

- Maine currently faces ongoing,
serious budget shortfalls that will
require action this session. Do you
favor raising taxes, eliminating programs,
or some combination of the
two? If so, do you have any specific
suggestions in that regard?
- The Maine Legislature has before
it a bill that establishes a singlepayer
universal access health
care system. Do you favor such a
proposal?
